In charge of TV series and Feature Film VFX
development team. Worked on weekly TV series for major German networks,
including ProSieben and Cable1. Designed and produced special effects for a
variety of feature films, from conception and design to execution. Implemented
sophisticated camera tracking, beta tested software from major developers.
Designed and directed animatronic characters for live puppetry sequences.
Designed and animated a ride simulation for the Olympic CommitteeÕs ÒOlympic
SpiritÓ (1996-1998).

Designed a virtual reality environment for
ParamountÕs production ÒVirtuosityÓ, starring Denzel Washington and Rusell
Crowe, This was the first ever major feature film whose special effects were
designed and produced entirely on a PC platform, utilizing 3DS, After Effects,
Elastic Reality and other PC tools. I directed and supervised a team of 15
modelers and animators and was responsible for on-site design and supervision
of special effects (1995).

including EA, Microsoft, Sierra Online, Stormfront Studios and Br¿derbund.
Developed 3D movies for ViacomÕs ÒStar Trek: Deep Space NineÓ CD Rom title. Was reponsible for technical supervision,
design and production work. Created the first motion-capture game in game
history (Tony LaRussa II) as well as industry innovations like claymation, blue
screen, stop-motion and other procedures then unknown in the game industry.

Assistant to Art Director for Dennis Hopper ÒThe Last MovieÓ, assistant to Art Director for Robert Altman ÒA Cold Day in the ParkÓ (Vancouver).
Produced and directed over 40 fiction films and documentaries and over 200 TV commercials and print campaigns for major international advertising agencies and staged experimental theatre works.

filmmaking, lighting and photography under the auspices of the Ministry of
Education. Managed and programmed the Art Cinema in Lima. Worked with MAGNUM
photographer JosŽ Casals and shot my first 35mm. Film. Founded the first big
scale film studio in Lima. Got hooked on theatre forever after working as a
still photographer for Juan JosŽ Gurrola in the operetta ÒLandrœÓ. Shot a one
year Florsheim campaign for Life Magazine and with British Top Model Pixie
Hopkins for Teran Publicidad.

MFA in New Media from Danube University, Krems, Austria
Studied Art and Design at San JosŽ City
College, minor in ceramics. Dropped out after a year to pursue my interest in
film, which did not exist as a career in American Universities at the time.
Studied Classicla Art at La Esmeralda, Mexico City, under the dean of Mexican painters, Santos Balmori. Graduated from the High School of Colegio Mexico at age 15.
